As one of the place that truly passionate about creating a healthy environment by and for human on all different levels, one of the highlight that we concern for is about sustainability tourism. Yes, Sustainable tourism is a word that although is being used more and more, people still don’t know what it means, but now we stand to make people understand. Sustainable tourism as a whole is a practice of being more aware of how people travel impacts the environment, the socio-cultural, and economic development around them. We believe this is important ! More than that, sustainable tourism should also maintain a high level of tourist satisfaction and ensure a meaningful experience to the tourists, raising their awareness about sustainability issues and promoting sustainable tourism practices amongst them.
Bhuwana Ubud Hotel support and commit the concept of sustainable tourism. There are 3 integrated points that we uphold in order to run this concept.
Ecotourism is a form of tourism involving visiting fragile, pristine, and relatively undisturbed natural areas, intended as a low-impact and often small scale alternative to standard commercial mass tourism. At Bhuwana Ubud Hotel, we stand for ecotourism activity with environmentally sound. We concern for nature conservation aspects, socio-cultural aspects, economic aspects of local communities, and education aspects.
Tri Hita Karana is one of philosophy in Hinduism. If we’d like to define, Tri Hita Karana is derived from “Tri” which means three, “Hita” which means happiness, and “Karana” which means a cause or way of something. For that, Tri Hita Karana means “Three ways to achieve a welfare”.
The nature of Tri Hita Karana is how human can maintain a harmonious relationship inside society. These three relationship are including a harmonious relationship among human, relationship with the nature, and the last relationship for God.
As a whole, sustainable tourism is a vision that we concern for. Tourism concept that is able to be ecologically supported for long term, give a positive impact for socio-cultural ethics, give a positive impact for local economy and education aspects. One of the example that already run since we commit to uphold sustainable tourism is how we conduct training program for local society as our employee that has a responsibility to share the concept of sustainable tourism for visitors.
